Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. Every day, we work tirelessly to find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia. We provide expert information, training, and support services to all those who need our help. And we are creating a more dementia-friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice.

We have a range of local services, listed below:

Dementia Support and Adviser Services We offer information and practical guidance to help people understand dementia, cope with day-to-day challenges and prepare for the future. Support is offered face to face, over the phone or in writing.

Dementia Cafés provide information about living with dementia and other services available locally in an informal and comfortable environment. A Dementia Café is also a place to relax, socialize and meet other people with dementia and their carers.

Carer Information and Support Programme is a series of sessions that provide information about dementia and relevant support services. There will also be opportunities to chat with others in a similar situation.

Peer Support Groups give people the opportunity to meet with others who understand some of what they are going through. Run by a facilitator, the sessions offer a chance to ask questions, get information and share experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
