Would you like to have an active weekend job supporting young people to have fun and to develop their skills and independence?
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable Session Workers to work as part of the teams at our groups for children and young people with special needs.
Our groups cater for young people with autistic spectrum conditions, learning and physical disabilities from 5 to 19 years old.
For this role you’ll need to:
- proactive in delivering a varied programme, supporting young people by offering choices, fostering independence and having fun through art, craft, games & cooking as well as sensory and outdoor play.
- patient, solution focused, a good communicator
- adaptable to the young people’s needs and wishes
- willing to take part in training to support your role. You will be paid for your time doing this.
